Sur les membres tendres de certaines—jusqu’à la pointe de leurs seins—reposaient de belles rangées de parures, comme des ornements posés sur d’autres ornements.
The beautiful imprints made by the (heavy) ornaments on the tender limbs, breasts and nipples of some women appeared like many ornaments.
Dharma here is implicit: external adornment is transient and layered; the Ramayana repeatedly contrasts such surface splendor with inner virtue and truthful conduct (satya).
Hanumān notices marks and lines left by heavy ornaments on sleeping bodies, continuing his careful survey.
Restraint (saṃyama): the observer’s mind does not turn from duty to fascination.
