Sita’s Token and Resolve
साब्रवीद्दत्तमेवेति मयाभिज्ञानमुत्तमम्।एतदेव हि रामस्य दृष्ट्वा मत्केशभूषणम्।।5.40.18।।श्रद्धेयं हनुमन्वाक्यं तव वीर भविष्यति।
sābravīd dattam eveti mayābhijñānam uttamam |
etad eva hi rāmasya dṛṣṭvā matkeśabhūṣaṇam ||5.40.18||
śraddheyaṃ hanuman vākyaṃ tava vīra bhaviṣyati |
Elle dit : «Je t’ai déjà donné le plus noble signe de reconnaissance. En voyant cet ornement de mes cheveux, le héros Rāma ajoutera foi à tes paroles, ô Hanumān».
