Hanuman’s Sweet Address to Sita and Sita’s Recognition
तस्य सत्याभिसन्धस्य वृद्धस्य वचनात्पितुः।सभार्यस्सह च भ्रात्रा वीरः प्रव्राजितो वनम्।।।।
tasya satyābhisandhasya vṛddhasya vacanāt pituḥ | sabhāryaḥ saha ca bhrātrā vīraḥ pravrājito vanam ||
Pour honorer la parole de son père âgé, inébranlable dans la vérité, ce héros s’en alla en exil dans la forêt, avec son épouse et son frère.
"Honouring the word of his aged father who was ever steadfast in truth, Rama left for the forest along with his wife and brother.
Satya and filial duty: honoring an elder’s pledged word is treated as dharma even when it demands personal loss and exile.
Sītā recalls the cause of their forest life: Rāma’s acceptance of exile to uphold his father’s promise.
