Trijata’s Dream-Omens and the Rakshasis’ Reversal
लक्ष्मणेन सह भ्रात्रा सीतया सह वीर्यवान्।।5.27.18।।आरुह्य पुष्पकं दिव्यं विमानं सूर्यसन्निभम्।उत्तरां दिशमालोक्य जगाम पुरुषोत्तमः।।5.27.19।।
lakṣmaṇena saha bhrātrā sītayā saha vīryavān |
āruhya puṣpakaṃ divyaṃ vimānaṃ sūryasannibham |
uttarāṃ diśam ālokya jagāma puruṣottamaḥ ||5.27.18||5.27.19||
Le vaillant Rāma, le meilleur des hommes, avec son frère Lakṣmaṇa et avec Sītā, monta dans le merveilleux Puṣpaka, vimāna céleste éclatant comme le Soleil, et, tournant son regard vers le nord, s’en alla.
"Valiant Rama, foremost among men, accompanied by his brother Lakshmana and wife Sita went towards the northerly direction in the wonderful Pushpaka chariot that resembled the Sun.
Dharma culminates in restoration: the righteous leader reunites with the innocent and proceeds onward, implying the re-establishment of truth (satya) and rightful order after the defeat of adharma.
Hanumān recounts a dream-vision: Rāma, with Lakṣmaṇa and Sītā, mounts the radiant Puṣpaka-vimāna and departs toward the north.
Rāma’s exemplary leadership (maryādā) and purposeful action: he moves decisively with family and brother, suggesting righteous governance and fidelity.
