Sita’s Dharmic Admonition to Ravana
रक्षांसि परिनिघ्नन्तः पुर्यामस्यां समन्ततः।।।।असंपातं करिष्यन्ति पतन्तः कङ्कवाससः।
rakṣāṃsi parinighnantaḥ puryām asyāṃ samantataḥ | asaṃpātaṃ kariṣyanti patantaḥ kaṅka-vāsasaḥ ||
Tombant de toutes parts sur cette cité, ces flèches, empennées de plumes de kaṅka, abattront les rākṣasas alentour, ne laissant nul espace à d’autres traits pour tomber.
"The shafts bound with feathers of Kanka birds (released by Rama and Lakshmana) will be killing the demons all over this Lanka. They will not give a chance for any other weapon to fall.
When adharma becomes entrenched, dharma’s corrective action can be sweeping; moral order reasserts itself comprehensively.
Sītā intensifies her warning by portraying the scale of destruction that Rāma’s forces will bring upon Laṅkā’s defenders.
