पञ्चषष्टितमः सर्गः — वानराणां प्लवन-पराक्रम-निरूपणम्

न ह्यकृत्वा हरिपतेस्सन्देशं तस्य धीमतः।तत्रापि गत्वा प्राणानां पश्यामि परिरक्षणम्।।।।
na hy akṛtvā haripateḥ sandeśaṃ tasya dhīmataḥ |
tatrāpi gatvā prāṇānāṃ paśyāmi parirakṣaṇam ||
Car si nous n’accomplissons pas l’ordre de ce sage seigneur des singes, je ne vois aucune sauvegarde pour nos vies, même si nous retournons là-bas (à Kiṣkindhā).
'The monkey king has the authority to shower grace or give vent to his anger. If we go without fulfilling the task we will face destruction.
