तदहः प्रथमं कृत्वा मासे प्रश्रवणं गताः।कपिराजेन सङ्गम्य निराशाः कपियूधपाः।।4.47.6।।
tad ahaḥ prathamaṁ kṛtvā māse praśravaṇaṁ gatāḥ |
kapirājena saṅgamya nirāśāḥ kapiyūdhapāḥ || 4.47.6 ||
Après avoir franchi le premier jour et poursuivi ainsi durant un mois, les chefs des troupes de singes gagnèrent Prasravaṇa ; et, rencontrant le roi des kapi, ils furent sans espoir, n’ayant trouvé nul indice de Sītā.
They went looking everywhere in the tanks, in the bottom of rivers, in towns, in the sky and similarly in inaccessible rivers, mountains, and forts surrounded by rivers.
Dharma includes accountability: after sustained effort, they report back to the rightful leader rather than hiding failure.
A month of searching yields no success; the troop leaders return to Sugriva at Mount Prasravaṇa.
Integrity in service—returning to report truthfully despite disappointment.
