Lakshmana’s Anger Reported; Hanuman Advises Propitiation and Timely Mobilization
आर्तस्य हृतदारस्य पुरुषं पुरुषान्तरात्।वचनं मर्षणीयं ते राघवस्य महात्मनः।।
ārtasya hṛta-dārasya paruṣaṃ puruṣāntarāt | vacanaṃ marṣaṇīyaṃ te rāghavasya mahātmanaḥ ||
Tu dois supporter même des paroles dures du magnanime Rāghava : c’est un homme en détresse, privé de son épouse, et de tels mots jaillissent du plus profond de sa souffrance.
'In these circumstances the best way is seeking apology from Lakshmana with folded hands. I do not see any way other than this.
Kṣamā and karuṇā: one should respond with patience and empathy toward a righteous person speaking from grief, especially when one is indebted to him.
As Lakṣmaṇa approaches in anger, Tārā prepares Sugrīva to receive stern words without retaliation, remembering Rāma’s suffering over Sītā.
Forbearance—restraining pride and accepting correction for the sake of dharma.
