The Monsoon Description and Rama’s Counsel on Timing
वर्षप्रवेगा विपुलाः पतन्तिप्रवान्ति वातास्समुदीर्णघोषाः।प्रणष्टकूलाः प्रवहन्ति शीघ्रंनद्योजलैर्विप्रतिपन्नमार्गाः।।
varṣa-pravegā vipulāḥ patanti pravānti vātāḥ samudīrṇa-ghoṣāḥ | praṇaṣṭa-kūlāḥ pravahanti śīghraṃ nadyo jalair vipratipanna-mārgāḥ ||
De vastes torrents de pluie tombent avec violence ; des vents soufflent avec un grondement grandissant. Les rivières, leurs berges rompues, se précipitent rapides, poussées par les eaux vers des cours détournés.
