वाली–रामसंवादः
Rama’s Justification to Vali on Rājadharma
त्वया ह्यनुगृहीतेन राज्यं शक्यमुपासितुम्।।त्वद्वशे वर्तमानेन तव चित्तानुवर्तिना।शक्यं दिवं चार्जयितुं वसुधां चापि शासितुम्।।
tvayā hy anugṛhītena rājyaṃ śakyam upāsitum || tvadvaśe vartamānena tava cittānuvartinā | śakyaṃ divaṃ cārjayituṃ vasudhāṃ cāpi śāsitum ||

'It is possible for a person favoured by you to rule the kingdom. It is possible for one who is under your control and acts according to your will to rule the entire world and earn heaven.
Legitimate rule depends on alignment with righteous authority: when governance follows dharma-guided leadership, it yields both worldly stability (earth) and spiritual merit (heaven).
Vali underscores Rama’s decisive moral authority, implying that Sugriva’s successful reign and merit will depend on remaining aligned with Rama’s dharmic guidance.
Rama’s capacity to confer stability through righteous favor—his guidance becomes the enabling condition for just rule.
