नूनं न तु वसन्तोऽतं देशं स्पृशति यत्र सा।कथं ह्यसितपद्माक्षी वर्तयेत्सा मया विना।।।।
nūnaṃ na tu vasantas taṃ deśaṃ spṛśati yatra sā | kathaṃ hy asita-padma-akṣī vartayet sā mayā vinā ||
Assurément, le printemps ne touche pas ce pays où elle se trouve ; car comment celle aux yeux de lotus sombre pourrait-elle vivre sans moi ?
'Spring must not have touched the place where she is now staying. Otherwise how could my Sita with eyes like blue lotus live without me?
