Preparations for Rama’s Installation as Yuvaraja
स प्राञ्जलिरभिप्रेत्य प्रणतः पितुरन्तिके।।।।नाम स्वं श्रावयन्रामो ववन्दे चरणौ पितुः।
sa prāñjalir abhipretya praṇataḥ pitur antike |
nāma svaṃ śrāvayan rāmo vavande caraṇau pituḥ ||
Les paumes jointes, Rāma s’approcha de son père; s’inclinant profondément près de lui, il prononça humblement son propre nom et, avec révérence, se prosterna aux pieds de son père.
Rama, approached his father with folded palms and bowed low near him, pronounced his (own) name and touched his father's feet with reverence.
