कृत्वैवमुदकं तस्मै प्रस्थितौ रामलक्ष्मणौ।अवेक्षन्तौ वने सीतां पश्चिमां जग्मतुर्दिशम्।।।।

Transliteration

kṛtvaivam udakaṃ tasmai prasthitau rāmalakṣmaṇau |

avekṣantau vane sītāṃ paścimāṃ jagmatur diśam ||

Translation

Ainsi, après lui avoir offert l’udaka en libation, Rāma et Lakṣmaṇa se mirent en route, scrutant la forêt à la recherche de Sītā, et gagnèrent la direction de l’ouest.
