Sita’s Lament and Condemnation of Ravana
O wicked fellow, with an intention to abduct me you enticed my husband to a distance deceitfully in the form of a deer.
Righteous conduct includes fairness and accountability: true valor is shown in open, declared confrontation—not through stealth against the defenseless.
Sītā mocks Rāvaṇa’s claim to heroism, pointing out that he did not win her through legitimate battle.
Sītā’s integrity and principled understanding of honor (maryādā), especially the ethics of rightful conflict.
