Jatayu’s Combat with Ravana
बद्धस्त्वं कालपाशेन क्व गतस्तस्य मोक्ष्यसे।।।।वधाय बडिशं गृह्य सामिषं जलजो यथा।
baddhas tvaṃ kāla-pāśena kva gatas tasya mokṣyase | vadhāya baḍiśaṃ gṛhya sāmiṣaṃ jalajo yathā ||
Tu es lié par le lacet de la Mort : où iras-tu pour t’en délivrer ? Tel le poisson qui saisit l’hameçon appâté pour être tué, tu as pris ce qui mène à ta fin.
