Khara’s Wrath and Śūrpaṇakhā’s Report
I wish to drink the foamy blood of that crooked woman and of both the brothers slain on the battle front.
It illustrates adharma rooted in vengeance—delighting in bloodshed violates the Ramayana’s dharmic ideal of restraint and proportionate response.
Shurpanakha expresses a violent wish for revenge against Sita and the two brothers.
A negative exemplar: the absence of self-control and compassion, showing how rage corrodes dharma.
