L’âme intérieure, purifiée de tous les péchés, atteint l’état śaiva. Après s’être baigné en faisant face au Soleil vers l’orient, l’homme devient sans faute et se trouve comblé de jouissances et de prospérité.
Narada (teaching in a tirtha-mahatmya context; traditional dialogue framework with Sanatkumara lineage)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It links external rite (tīrtha-snāna, bathing with correct orientation) with inner purification, stating that freedom from sin can culminate in attaining a Śaiva spiritual state/goal.
By presenting worshipful orientation to Sūrya and the Śaiva goal as spiritually efficacious, it implies that reverent, deity-centered ritual action performed with purity supports devotional progress and divine attainment.
Ritual procedure and directionality: the act of bathing while oriented to the Sun in the east reflects applied kalpa-style ritual discipline (proper performance, dik/āyatanas) used in Purāṇic tīrtha-vidhi.
