Gaṅgā-māhātmya
य इच्छेत्सफलं जन्म संततिं वा शुभानने । स पितॄंस्तर्पयेद्गंगामभिगम्य सुरांस्तथा ॥ ७ ॥
ya icchetsaphalaṃ janma saṃtatiṃ vā śubhānane | sa pitṝṃstarpayedgaṃgāmabhigamya surāṃstathā || 7 ||
Ô toi au beau visage, quiconque souhaite une vie féconde ou une descendance doit se rendre à la Gaṅgā, offrir des libations aux Pitṛs et, de même, faire des offrandes aux dieux.
