Ceux pour qui tous les devoirs sacrés sont toujours accomplis avec les eaux de la Gaṅgā—après avoir quitté le corps—se réjouissent dans la présence même de Śiva.
Suta (narrating the tirtha-mahatmya of Gaṅgā within Uttara-Bhaga)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It teaches that consistent performance of sacred duties with Gaṅgā-water becomes a powerful purifier, granting the devotee an exalted post-death state described as rejoicing in Śiva’s presence.
By emphasizing steady, lifelong reverence expressed through ritual use of Gaṅgā-water, it frames bhakti as sustained sacred practice that culminates in divine proximity (Śiva-sannidhi).
It highlights ritual application (kalpa/prayoga) in using consecrated water for nitya-karmas and other kṛtyas—showing how correct materials and procedure support dharmic outcomes.
