Mais si le jour du jeûne coïncide avec le dimanche, le lundi ou le samedi, qu’on jeûne alors le jour suivant — surtout lorsque de nombreux brāhmanes se querellent à cause des divergences d’autorité des āgamas.
Narada
Vrata: Ekādaśī/Dvādaśī upavāsa (exception handling)
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: vira
It emphasizes dharma through correct observance of vrata: when calendrical or scriptural disagreements arise, one should follow a harmonizing rule (fasting on the next day) to preserve the sanctity of the vow and avoid ritual fault.
By prioritizing proper vrata timing even amid disputes, the verse supports steady devotional discipline—showing that bhakti is strengthened through careful, sincere observance rather than argument.
It reflects Jyotiṣa/Vedāṅga-style tithi and weekday considerations (ritual timing), and practical dharma-nirṇaya for resolving āgama-based disagreements about when a fast should be kept.
