FAQs

This verse does not describe Pralaya; it functions as a genealogical/pravara-style enumeration of sages, preserving sacred memory and lineage continuity rather than cosmology.

By listing recognized ṛṣis, the text supports correct ritual and social identity (pravara/ancestral seers), helping householders and rulers align rites, patronage, and dharma with authoritative Vedic lineages.

The ritual significance is indirect: such rishi-lists are used for lineage/pravara remembrance in Vedic rites and Purāṇic tradition; no Vāstu or temple-building rule is stated in this specific verse.
