Adhyaya 84 — The Gods’ Hymn after the Slaying of Mahishasura and the Goddess’ Boon
इत्येतत्कथितं भूप सम्भूता सा यथा पुरा ।
देवी देवशरीरेभ्यो जगत्त्रय हितैषिणी ॥
ity etat kathitaṃ bhūpa sambhūtā sā yathā purā | devī devaśarīrebhyo jagattrayahitaiṣiṇī ||
Ainsi a-t-il été rapporté, ô roi, comment Elle surgit comme auparavant : la Déesse, issue des corps des dieux, désirant le bien des trois mondes.
