Adhyaya 54 — Cosmography of Jambudvipa: Continents, Oceans, Varshas, and Mount Meru
सा परिक्रम्य वै मेरुं जम्बूमूलं पुनर्नदी ।
विशति द्विजशार्दूल पीयमाना जनैश्च तैः ॥
sā parikramya vai meruṁ jambū-mūlaṁ punar nadī | viśati dvijaśārdūla pīyamānā janaiś ca taiḥ ||
Ce fleuve, après avoir fait le tour du mont Meru, revient de nouveau à la racine du Jambū (l’arbre) et y pénètre, ô tigre parmi les deux-fois-nés, étant bu par les êtres qui s’y trouvent.
