Adhyaya 50 — Mind-Born Progeny, Svayambhuva Manu’s Lineage, and Brahmā’s Ordinance to Duḥsaha (Alakṣmī’s Retinue)
एतानि तव पुष्ट्यर्थमन्यच्चापि ददामि ते ।
अश्रद्धया हुतं दत्तमस्नातैर्यदवज्ञया ॥
etāni tava puṣṭy-artham anyac cāpi dadāmi te |
aśraddhayā hutaṃ dattam asnātair yad avajñayā ||
«Je te donne ceci pour ta subsistance; et je te donne encore davantage : tout ce qui est offert au feu ou donné en aumône sans foi, et tout ce qui est offert par celui qui ne s’est pas baigné, avec un esprit de mépris.»

Acts of worship and charity require śraddhā (reverent intent) and basic ritual propriety; when performed with contempt or impurity, they fail to yield the intended dharmic merit and are portrayed as feeding lower forces (here, a Yakṣa).
Primarily Dharma/Ācāra instruction rather than sarga/pratisarga/manvantara/vaṃśa/vaṃśānucarita; it is an ethical-ritual teaching embedded in narrative.
Śraddhā is treated as the subtle ‘carrier’ of offerings; without it, the offering’s ‘address’ is lost and the energy is said to sink to tamasic recipients—symbolized by the Yakṣa.
