Adhyaya 34 — Madālāsā’s Instruction on Sadācāra (Householder Conduct, Purity, and Daily Rites)
यज्ञदानतपांसीह पुरुषस्य च भूतये । भवन्ति यः सदाचारं समुल्लङ्घ्य प्रवर्तते ॥
yajñadānatapāṃsīha puruṣasya ca bhūtaye | bhavanti yaḥ sadācāraṃ samullaṅghya pravartate ||
Le sacrifice, la charité et l’austérité en ce monde ne deviennent des moyens de prospérité pour l’homme que s’il agit sans transgresser la conduite juste ; mais celui qui avance en outrepassant le sadācāra (la bonne conduite) en ruine le bénéfice.
