इदं च राज्यं पार्थाय यच्चान्यदपि किउ्चन । प्रतिगृह्नन्तु तत् सर्व पाण्डवा अविशड्कया,“मेरा यह राज्य कुन्तीपुत्रको समर्पित है। इसके सिवा और भी जो कुछ मेरे पास है, वह सब पाण्डवलोग बिना किसी संकोचके ग्रहण करें
idaṃ ca rājyaṃ pārthāya yac cānyad api kiñcana | pratigṛhṇantu tat sarvaṃ pāṇḍavā aviśaṅkayā ||
Vaiśampāyana dit : « Ce royaume qui est le mien, je l’offre à Pārtha ; et tout ce que je possède encore, de quelque nature que ce soit — que les Pāṇḍava l’acceptent en entier, sans hésitation ni soupçon. » Cette parole fait de la royauté un dépôt à remettre au droit et à la vertu, et met en avant la générosité, la réconciliation et la levée des doutes à un tournant décisif du récit.
