ये स्मरन्ति महादेवि न च सीदन्ति ते नरा: । त्वं कीर्ति: श्रीर्धति: सिद्धिद्नोर्विद्या संततिर्मति:
ye smaranti mahādevi na ca sīdanti te narāḥ | tvaṁ kīrtiḥ śrīr dhṛtiḥ siddhir jñānaṁ vidyā santatir matiḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana dit : « Ô grande déesse, les hommes qui se souviennent de toi ne sombrent pas dans le désespoir. Tu es leur renommée et leur prospérité, leur courage inébranlable et leur réussite ; tu es la connaissance et l’étude, la lignée et sa continuité, et la force du discernement juste. »
