Virāṭa-parva Adhyāya 54 — Missile-Exchange and Tactical Redirection

स तैहयैर्वातजवैर्बृहदूभि: पुत्रो विराटस्य सुवर्णकक्षै: व्यध्वंसयत् तद् रथिनामनीकं ततो5वहत् पाण्डवमाजिमध्ये
sa taihayair vātajavair bṛhadūbhiḥ putro virāṭasya suvarṇakakṣaiḥ vyadhvaṃsayat tad rathinām anīkaṃ tato ’vahat pāṇḍavam ājimadhye
Vaiśampāyana dit : Avec ces grands chevaux—rapides comme le vent—le fils de Virāṭa (Uttara), dont les étoffes du harnais se terminaient à l’arrière par de l’or, lança le char à vive allure et fit piétiner, briser et disperser l’alignement des chars des guerriers kaurava ; puis il porta le Pāṇḍava (Arjuna) au cœur même du combat.
