Virāṭa-parva Adhyāya 22 — Draupadī’s Abduction Attempt and Bhīma’s Suppression of the Kīcakas
भीमसेन बोले--वरारोहे! तुम्हारा स्वागत है; क्योंकि तुमने मुझे प्रिय संवाद सुनाया है। सुन्दरी! मैं इस कार्यमें दूसरे किसीको सहायक बनाना नहीं चाहता ।।
bhīmasena uvāca—varārohe! tava svāgataṃ; yat tvayā me priyaḥ saṃvādaḥ śrāvitaḥ. sundari! asmin kārye ’ham anyaṃ kaṃcid api sahāyaṃ na icchāmi. yā me prītis tvayā ākhyātā kīcakasya samāgame, hatvā hiḍimbaṃ sā prītir mama āsīd varavarṇini.
Bhīma dit : «Ô noble dame, sois la bienvenue. Tu m’apportes une nouvelle heureuse qui réjouit mon cœur. Ô belle, en cette affaire je ne veux prendre nul autre pour soutien. La joie que j’ai ressentie en t’entendant parler de l’occasion de rencontrer Kīcaka est la même que celle que j’éprouvai jadis après avoir abattu le démon Hidimba.»
