नार्हस्येवं वरारोहे प्रत्याख्यातुं वरानने । मां मन्मथसमादविष्ट॑ त्वत्कृते चारुहासिनि,“वरारोहे! सुमुखि! तुम्हें इस प्रकार मेरी प्रार्थना नहीं ठुकरानी चाहिये! चारुहासिनि! मैं तुम्हारे लिये कामवेदनासे पीड़ित हूँ

Transliteration

na arhasi evaṃ varārohe pratyākhyātuṃ varānane | māṃ manmatha-samādaviṣṭaṃ tvat-kṛte cāru-hāsini ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana dit : «Ô noble dame à la démarche gracieuse, ô visage splendide, tu ne dois pas repousser ainsi ma requête. Ô toi au doux sourire, pour toi je suis saisi par le tumulte du désir.»
