Daśagrīva-boonāvaraṇa, Viṣṇv-avatāra-niyoga, Vānara-sahāya-janana, Mantharā-nirmāṇa
अधर्मरुचयो मूढास्तिर्यग्गतिपरायणा: । कृच्छाां योनिमनुप्राप्ता न सुखं विन्दते जना:
adharmarucayo mūḍhās tiryaggatiparāyaṇāḥ | kṛcchrāṃ yonim anuprāptā na sukhaṃ vindate janāḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana dit : Ceux qui, dans leur égarement, se plaisent dans l’adharma s’attachent à une voie d’existence semblable à celle des bêtes, renaissant dans les matrices inférieures (tiryak), parmi les animaux et les oiseaux. Tombés dans ces naissances douloureuses, ils ne trouvent pas le bonheur.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Delight in adharma (unrighteous conduct) leads to a degraded mode of existence and suffering; ethical choices shape future births and the capacity for happiness.
Vaiśampāyana delivers a moral statement within the Vana Parva discourse, explaining karmic consequences: those inclined to adharma are said to fall into painful non-human births and fail to attain happiness there.
