बाला विहीना: पित्रा ते त्वयैव परिवर्धिता: । तान् पालय यथान्यायं पुत्रांश्ष भरतर्षभ,भरतर्षभ! पाण्डव बाल्यावस्थामें ही पितासे बिछुड़ गये थे। आपने ही उन्हें पाल- पोसकर बड़ा किया; अत: उनका और अपने पुत्रोंका न्यायपूर्वक पालन कीजिये
bālā vihīnāḥ pitrā te tvayaiva parivardhitāḥ | tān pālaya yathānyāyaṃ putrān bharatarṣabha ||
Vaiśaṃpāyana dit : «Ô taureau des Bhārata, ces garçons, privés de leur père dès l’enfance, ont été élevés par toi seul. Aussi, protège-les et soutiens-les—avec tes propres fils—selon la justice et le devoir droit.»
