वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical tension before war: joy arises when dharma seems to be asserted, yet anger can surge powerfully. It implicitly warns that even justified action should be guided by discernment, not merely by uncontrolled wrath.
After Arjuna speaks (in the surrounding context), Bhīma reacts strongly—he is pleased and energized, but his anger is so intense that he repeatedly trembles, signaling readiness for confrontation and the emotional pitch of the impending conflict.
