Dvārakāyāṃ Sāhāyya-vibhāgaḥ (Alliance Allocation at Dvārakā) /
The verse highlights the social-ethical power of yaśas (reputation): a person of established merit carries their fame wherever they go, and association with such a person is sought as a means to share in honor and legitimacy.
Arjuna addresses the person he is selecting, praising their widespread renown and stating that he has chosen them because their fame will accompany them—benefiting Arjuna as well, who desires glory.
