Udyoga Parva 63: Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Counsel Reminding Duryodhana of Opponent Strength
Vidura frames his counsel as guidance toward śreyas—true welfare—urging the Kuru elder to listen carefully and then choose the course that is genuinely beneficial rather than merely pleasing or expedient.
In Udyoga Parva, Vidura continues advising the Kuru ruler/elder during the tense pre-war negotiations. He introduces another illustrative account from what he has seen/heard, preparing to deliver a moral example meant to steer the listener toward prudent, dharmic action.
