Shloka 19
आवयोर्वचनात् सूत ज्येष्ठानप्यभिवादयन् । यवीयसश्व कुशल पश्चात् पृष्टवैवमुत्तरम्,सूत! हम दोनोंकी ओरसे पहले तुम हमसे बड़ी अवस्थावाले श्रेष्ठ पुरुषोंको प्रणाम कहना और जो लोग अवस्थामें हमसे छोटे हों, उनकी कुशल पूछना। इसके बाद हमारा यह उत्तर सुना देना--
āvayor vacanāt sūta jyeṣṭhān apy abhivādayan | yavīyasaś ca kuśalaṁ paścāt pṛṣṭvaivam uttaram ||
Vāyu-deva dit : «Ô cocher, de notre part à tous deux, présente d’abord des salutations respectueuses même aux anciens qui l’emportent par l’âge et la dignité. Puis informe-toi du bien-être de ceux qui sont plus jeunes que nous. Après cela, transmets cette réponse de notre part.»
