सर्व तदपि जानामि करिष्यति च पाण्डव: । “मैं तो युद्धसे पहले पाण्डवोंके साथ संधि करना ही अच्छा समझता हूँ। अर्जुनने जो बात कही है और संजयने उनका जो संदेश यहाँ सुनाया है, मैं वह सब जानता और समझता हूँ। पाण्डुनन्दन अर्जुन वैसा करके ही रहेंगे
sarva tad api jānāmi kariṣyati ca pāṇḍavaḥ |
Vaiśampāyana dit : «Je sais tout cela moi aussi — et le fils de Pāṇḍu l’accomplira bel et bien. J’estime qu’il vaut mieux rechercher un accord avec les Pāṇḍava avant que la guerre ne commence. Je comprends parfaitement ce qu’Arjuna a déclaré et le message que Sañjaya a rapporté ici ; Arjuna, le prince de Pāṇḍu, agira exactement selon cela.»
