Sañjaya’s Report
तमसहां विष्णुमनन्तवीर्य- माशंसते धार्तराष्ट्रो विजेतुम् । सदा होन॑ तर्कयते दुरात्मा तच्चाप्ययं सहते<स्मान् समीक्ष्य,“ऐसे अनन्त पराक्रमी और अजेय श्रीकृष्णको धृतराष्ट्रपुत्र दुर्योधन जीत लेनेकी आशा करता है। वह दुरात्मा सदैव इनका अनिष्ट करनेके विषयमें सोचता रहता है, परंतु हमलोगोंकी ओर देखकर उसके इस अपराधको भी ये भगवान् सहते चले जा रहे हैं
tamasahāṁ viṣṇum anantavīryam āśaṁsate dhārtarāṣṭro vijetum | sadā hīnaḥ tarkayate durātmā tac cāpy ayaṁ sahate ’smān samīkṣya ||
Sañjaya dit : «Duryodhana, fils de Dhṛtarāṣṭra, nourrit même l’espoir de vaincre Viṣṇu—Śrī Kṛṣṇa, à la vaillance sans limites. Cet homme au cœur mauvais ne cesse de tramer contre Lui ; et pourtant le Seigneur, posant sur nous son regard, continue d’endurer jusqu’à cette offense.»
