Sanatsujāta on the Imperceptible Eternal Light (यत्तच्छुक्रं महज्ज्योतिः)

यः सहस््र॑ं सहस्राणां पक्षान्‌ संतत्य सम्पतेत्‌ । मध्यमे मध्य आगच्छेदपि चेत्‌ स्यान्मनोजव: । योगिनस्तं प्रपश्यन्ति भगवन्तं सनातनम्‌,कोई मनके समान वेगवाला ही क्‍यों न हो और दस लाख भी पंख लगाकर क्यों न उड़े, अन्तमें उसे हृदयस्थित परमात्मामें ही आना पड़ेगा। उस सनातन परमात्माका योगीजन साक्षात्कार करते हैं

Transliteration

yaḥ sahasraṁ sahasrāṇāṁ pakṣān santatya sampatet | madhyame madhya āgacched api cet syān manojavaḥ | yoginas taṁ prapaśyanti bhagavantaṁ sanātanam ||

Translation

Quand bien même quelqu’un se fixerait des milliers et des milliers d’ailes et volerait à la vitesse de la pensée, il finirait pourtant par parvenir au centre même—revenant au Seigneur qui demeure dans le cœur. Cette Réalité divine et éternelle est contemplée directement par les yogins. L’enseignement souligne la vanité de toute fuite au dehors et l’inéluctable retour au dedans, vers le Soi immanent, ultime refuge et but.
