ततस्तत्प्रतिघातार्थ ब्राह्ममेवास्त्रमुत्तमम् । मया प्रयुक्त जज्वाल युगान्तमिव दर्शयत्,तब उस अस्त्रका निवारण करनेके लिये मैंने भी उत्तम ब्रह्मास्त्रका ही प्रयोग किया। मेरा वह अस्त्र प्रलयकालका-सा दृश्य उपस्थित करता हुआ प्रज्वलित हो उठा
tatastatpratighātārthaṁ brāhmam evāstram uttamam | mayā prayuktaṁ jajvāla yugāntam iva darśayat ||
Alors, pour parer ce coup même, j’employai à mon tour l’arme suprême de Brahmā, le Brahmāstra. Lancée par moi, elle s’embrasa, offrant une vision semblable à la fin d’un âge — un spectacle d’apocalypse qui annonce combien l’escalade de la guerre peut appeler des forces au-delà de la maîtrise humaine ordinaire.
