Bhīṣma’s Account of the Strategic Engagement with Rāma Jāmadagnya
जामदग्न्येन मे युद्धमिदं परमदारुणम् | अहानि च बहुन्यद्य वर्तते सुमहात्ययम्,आज बहुत दिन हो गये, जमदग्निनन्दन परशुरामजीके साथ यह मेरा अत्यन्त भयंकर और महान् अनिष्टकारक युद्ध चल रहा है
jāmadagnyena me yuddham idaṃ paramadāruṇam | ahāni ca bahūny adya vartate sumahātyayam ||
Bhīṣma dit : «Ce combat qui est le mien contre Jāmadagnya (Paraśurāma) est d’une horreur extrême. Aujourd’hui encore, bien que de nombreux jours se soient écoulés, il se poursuit—portant avec lui un très grand désastre.»
