वैशम्पायन उवाच ततो गज्जा सुतस्नेहाद भीष्म॑ पुनरुपागमत्‌ | नचास्याश्चाकरोद्‌ वाक्यं क्रोधपर्याकुलेक्षण:

Transliteration

Vaiśampāyana uvāca—tato Gaṅgā sutasnehād Bhīṣmaṃ punar upāgamat | na cāsyāś cākarod vākyaṃ krodha-paryākulekṣaṇaḥ ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana dit : Ô Janamejaya, alors Gaṅgā, poussée par l’amour maternel, revint auprès de Bhīṣma. Mais Bhīṣma, les yeux troublés et agités par la colère, ne se conforma pas à ses paroles.
