अम्बा–राम–भीष्म संवादः
Amba–Rama–Bhishma Dialogue on Vow and Refuge
ततः सा राममभ्येत्य जननी मे महानदी । मदर्थ तमृषिं वीक्ष्य क्षमयामास भार्गवम्
tataḥ sā rāmam abhyetya jananī me mahānadī | madarthaṃ tam ṛṣiṃ vīkṣya kṣamayāmāsa bhārgavam ||
Alors ma mère, le grand fleuve Mahānadī, s’approcha de Rāma. Voyant là, à cause de moi, le sage Bhārgava, elle sollicita son pardon : elle reconnut la faute née de mon fait et s’efforça de rétablir le juste par l’humilité et la réconciliation.
भीष्म उवाच
When conflict or wrongdoing arises through one’s actions, dharma is served not only by strength but also by humility: seeking forgiveness and making amends can restore moral order and reduce further harm.
Bhīṣma narrates that his mother, the great river Mahānadī, approached Rāma (Paraśurāma). Recognizing that the sage Bhārgava had been drawn into the situation because of Bhīṣma, she attempted to appease him and asked for his forgiveness.
