अम्बा–राम–भीष्म संवादः
Amba–Rama–Bhishma Dialogue on Vow and Refuge
वाचा भीष्मश्न शाल्वश्ल मम राज्ञि वशानुगौ । भविष्यतोडनवद्याड्धि तत् करिष्यामि मा शुच:
bhīṣma uvāca | vācā bhīṣmaś ca śālvaś ca mama rājñi vaśānugau | bhaviṣyato 'navadyāṅgi tat kariṣyāmi mā śucaḥ | rājakanýe! bhīṣmaḥ śālvaś ca ubhau mama ājñādhīnau bhaviṣyataḥ | ataḥ anavadyāṅgi sundari! ahaṃ tava kāryaṃ kariṣyāmi | tvaṃ śokaṃ mā kṛthāḥ |
Bhīṣma dit : «Ô princesse, par ma parole, Bhīṣma et Śālva seront tous deux sous mon commandement. Ainsi, jeune fille aux membres sans défaut, j’accomplirai ton dessein. Ne t’afflige pas.»
