भीष्म–दुर्योधनसंवादः — शिखण्डिनं न हन्तुं कारणकथनम्
Amba-ākhyāna prologue
एष चेदिपति: शूर: सह पुत्रेण भारत | महारथानां सुकरं महत् कर्म करिष्यति,भारत! यह शौर्यसम्पन्न चेदिराज अपने पुत्रके साथ आकर महारथियोंके लिये सहजसाध्य महान् पराक्रम कर दिखायेगा
eṣa cedipatiḥ śūraḥ saha putreṇa bhārata | mahārathānāṃ sukaraṃ mahat karma kariṣyati, bhārata ||
Bhīṣma dit : «Ô Bharata ! Ce vaillant roi de Cedi viendra avec son fils et accomplira une grande œuvre, une action que l’on mènera aisément même face aux plus éminents guerriers de char.»
