भीष्म–दुर्योधनसंवादः — शिखण्डिनं न हन्तुं कारणकथनम्

योत्स्येते बलिनौ शूरौ परं शक्‍्त्या क्षयिष्यत: । पाण्डवोंके लिये महान्‌ पराक्रम करनेवाले बलवान्‌ शूरवीर अज और भोज दोनों महारथी हैं। वे सम्पूर्ण शक्ति लगाकर युद्ध करेंगे और अपने पुरुषार्थका परिचय देंगे ।।

Transliteration

yotsyete balinau śūrau paraṁ śaktyā kṣayiṣyataḥ |

Translation

Bhīṣma déclare que deux guerriers, puissants et héroïques, combattront en déployant toute leur force, résolus à semer la destruction sur le champ de bataille. L’accent est mis sur leur engagement total envers le devoir des armes et sur la farouche détermination avec laquelle ils manifesteront leur prouesse pour la cause des Pāṇḍavas.
