न चाहमुत्सहे कृष्णमृते लोकमुदीक्षितुम् | ततो5हमनुवर्तामि केशवस्य चिकीर्षितम्,“मैं तो श्रीकृष्णके बिना इस सम्पूर्ण जगत्की ओर आँख उठाकर देख भी नहीं सकता; अतः ये केशव जो कुछ करना चाहते हैं, मैं उसीका अनुसरण करता हूँ
na cāham utsahe kṛṣṇam ṛte lokam udīkṣitum | tato 'ham anuvartāmi keśavasya cikīrṣitam ||
Vaiśampāyana dit : « Sans Kṛṣṇa, je n’ai pas même le cœur de lever les yeux et de regarder ce monde tout entier. C’est pourquoi je suis ce que Keśava entend accomplir. »
