पाञ्चजन्यस्य निर्घोषं विस्फूर्जितमिवाशने: । निशम्य सर्वसैन्यानि समहृष्यन्त सर्वश:,बिजलीकी गड़गड़ाहटके समान पांचजन्यका गम्भीर घोष सुनकर सब ओर फैले हुए समस्त पाण्डवसैनिक हर्षसे उललसित एवं रोमांचित हो उठे

pāñcajanyasya nirghoṣaṃ visphūrjitam ivāśaneḥ | niśamya sarvasainyāni samahṛṣyanta sarvaśaḥ ||

Vaiśampāyana dit : En entendant le grondement profond de la conque Pāñcajanya—pareil au fracas de l’éclair—toutes les divisions de l’armée, de tous côtés, furent saisies d’allégresse. Ce son affermit leur résolution et attisa le courage commun à mesure que l’heure décisive de la guerre approchait.
