शकटापणवेशाश्व यानयुग्यं च सर्वश: । कोशं यन्त्रायुधं चैव ये च वैद्याश्विकित्सका:,सामान ढोनेवाली गाड़ी, बाजार, डेरे-तम्बू, रथ आदि सवारी, खजाना, यन्त्रचालित अस्त्र और चिकित्साकुशल वैद्य भी उनके साथ-साथ चले

Transliteration

śakaṭāpaṇa-veśāśva-yānayugyaṃ ca sarvaśaḥ | kośaṃ yantrāyudhaṃ caiva ye ca vaidyāśva-cikitsakāḥ ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana dit : Avec eux allait aussi, sous toutes ses formes, l’appareil de transport et de soutien d’une armée : des chariots pour les charges, des provisions et du matériel de camp, des chevaux et des véhicules propres à l’attelage, le trésor, des armes mécaniques, et encore des médecins habiles à soigner les chevaux. Le passage rappelle que la guerre n’est pas seulement un choc de héros, mais une vaste entreprise organisée, portée par la logistique, les ressources et des soins spécialisés.
