Educational Q&A

The verse highlights that large-scale conflict depends on disciplined organization—supplies, treasury, technology, and medical care—implying ethical responsibility in governance and warfare: leaders must account for the welfare and support systems that sustain an army, not merely valor in battle.

Vaiśampāyana describes the entourage moving together with the main force: carts, market provisions, camp equipment, horses and harnessed vehicles, the treasury, mechanical weapons, and specialists such as horse-doctors, indicating a fully provisioned march or mobilization.
