धृतराष्ट्रस्य वंशोपदेशः
Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Dynastic Counsel on Legitimate Rule
नीचै: स्थित्वा तु विदुर उपास्ते सम विनीतवत् । प्रेष्पवत् पुरुषव्याप्रो वालव्यजनमुत्क्षिपन्,“तदनन्तर पुरुषसिंह विदुर सेवककी भाँति नीचे खड़े होकर चँवर डुलाते हुए विनीतभावसे धृतराष्ट्रकी सेवामें रहने लगे
nīcaiḥ sthitvā tu vidura upāste sama-vinītavat | preṣpavat puruṣa-vyāghro vāla-vyajanam utkṣipan ||
Alors Vidura, se tenant humblement plus bas tel un serviteur bien formé, servit Dhṛtarāṣṭra avec une courtoisie égale et un esprit maîtrisé. Tel un tigre parmi les hommes, il souleva et agita l’éventail de queue de yak (cāmara), choisissant la discipline et la retenue plutôt que l’orgueil — manifestation du dharma : accomplir son devoir sans ego, même au sein d’un palais tendu.
